Warranties

We guarantee that  every pair of glasses will be made to the prescription provided and free from defects in material and workmanship. All of our lenses comply with the regulations of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) for ophthalmic prescription lenses. If a lens is defective, please return it to the lab within 30 days

Credits

All credit requests must have original lenses returned  within 30 days of the replacement order to receive credit. Failure to provide this could delay credit from being issued in a timely manner. We try our best to issue credits in a timely manner. We would like credits to be in by the 20th of the month to ensure it is processed on the current month’s statement. Credits coming in during the last few days of the month risk being delayed until the following month.

 

Scratch Warranty

Lenses are warranted to resist scratches under normal wearing conditions for one year, one time only at a 50% replacement cost. Replacement Lenses must be an identical replacement to the original order. Lenses are only covered for scratches due to normal wear.  The original lenses must be returned  within 30 days of the replacement order to receive credit.

 

 

AR Warranty

ALL  AR lenses are warranted for manufacturer defects and scratches under normal use for one year from the date of the original invoice. The original lenses must be returned  within 30 days of the replacement order to receive credit.

 

 

Progressive Non-Adapt Warranty

Our Non-Adapt warranty allows for a one-time replacement of our Featured or Digital Progressive lenses (including tints and ARs) within 90 days of the original order. Credit will be issued for the price of the less expensive lenses on either the original order or the reorder. A replacement order of the same material and color must accompany the original in order to receive credit. If Seg Height are changed, will be considered an Opticians Error. Lenses returned for credit as a non-adapt, must include the original invoice plus a copy of  the reorder invoice. 

 

 

Lab Remakes

The Vision Market guarantees all lenses are manufactured within  the American National Standards Institute for ophthalmic prescription lenses.Lenses processed outside of ANSI standards will be remade. Remake requests must include a fully completed RX form, a copy of the original RX, and reason for the remake within 30 days of the original invoice date. Lenses need to be returned to the lab for evaluation before credit can be processed.

 

 

Cutout/Thickness

Complete frame information needed for accurate lens thickness and decentration on uncuts. Frame shape, A, B, ED, and DBL are all required for credit to be issued. If lenses are being returned for thickness, they must be edged to receive credit.

 

 

Optician’s Error

We will remake lenses for optician’s error one time at 50% discount. Discount will apply to the lesser of the two pairs. Second pair will be charged at full price. Breakage on optician’s edger counts as an optician error. The original lenses must be returned  within 30 days of the replacement order to receive credit.

 

 

Frames

We cannot be responsible for patient’s previously worn frames, or nonophthalmic frames. New frames should be covered under manufacturer’s warranty, and will be returned for replacement. Please send frames via a traceable carrier. We are not responsible for items lost in transit.

 

 

Patient’s Own Lenses

It is recommended that lenses be removed from frames before sending them to the lab. We will not be responsible for lenses mounted in the frame when received.

 

 

Uncut Lens Orders

Unless specified, The Vision Market will provide the lens blank size based on the frame measurements received. If a specific base curve is requested, we will not be responsible for lens cosmetics, lens thickness or patient adaptability. There is a 25% charge for special base curves. We cannot be responsible for lens thickness due to incorrect measurements or frame/edge type ordered.

 

 

Tint with AR

We do not recommend AR coatings for tinted lenses. Due to the required cleaning process

prior to the AR application, we can not guarantee the density or exact shade of the tint requested. If the patient is not happy with their tint after AR coating, or a color change is ordered, you will be billed 50% of the new order.
